Rachel's Bar & Restaurant
While Barbados undoubtedly offers an extensive range of dining options, Rachel’s Bar & Restaurant at the Savannah Beach Hotel offers a unique cultural dining experience which has bestowed it a special place in the hearts of visitors and locals alike.
The restaurant is but one hallmark of this beautiful property, which is set in the World Heritage-designated Garrison Savannah area, a mere seven minutes from historic Bridgetown.
History certainly abounds at the Savannah Beach Club as the name Rachel’s was inspired by that of the infamous Barbadian slave-turned-hotelier, Rachel Pringle. The ever-present historic feeling is a reminder of the deeply embedded richness of culture that pervades the property.
Rachel’s offers an authentic and enjoyable combination of history, island life, and culinary delights. It is an open-air setting, complemented by the building’s coral stone walls and traditional jalousie louvers, offers a breathtaking elevated view of the hotel’s lushly landscaped meandering pools that lead straight into the Caribbean Sea.
The dress code is elegant casual during the evening, with long pants required for gentlemen. Short smart or dress trousers are also accepted in restaurants at night.
